Catgill Glass

Handcrafted in Cumbria

Based in Cumbria, Catgill Glass was created by Jane Hallington in 2020.

Jane's love for glass began as a hobby, working with stained glass for a number of years before expanding into kiln-formed glass and turning her passion into her day job. From stained glass windows and fire screens, water features and mosaic tables , Jane has created a wide range of pieces, but her favourite commissions are those that celebrate the the Cumbrian fells where she uses fused glass and stained glass techniques to create pictures of the fells.

Here's an example of Wasdale Head fells created in fused glass framed by stained glass.

Jane undertook a commission to produce a sign for my craft brewery and I was delighted with it. I left the design up to her. It's now proudly displayed in my bar.

I wanted a piece of glass art designed to remember my dog. We discussed the basis of what I wanted, which was a beach scene, Jane designed the rest. I am really pleased with the result.

I commissioned Jane to design a glass mosaic table, which would be placed close to our pond. I am thrilled with the result.

I asked Jane to design a window, I love the result. Since then I have commissioned Jane for several more pieces.
